37 Week Dr Appt

The latest pic of the belly. May 18, 2009

The first video is Monday's sonogram it has sound, but if you can't hear it the Dr is telling us he's head down. She measured him and estimated that he's 7 lbs right now. He can potentially grow another pound and a half if he goes to term. I'm not dilated at all.

The second video is a shot of his back and abdomen. His breathing and heart beat are good. You can see it beating through his rib cage. She printed off pictures of these sonograms but I think our home movie of them is better! Small screen but still neat.

I had some funny feelings in my lower abdomen yesterday and left work early. Tightness and cramping, but not painful. It only lasted for 2 hours. Little boy was moving too, I'm not certain but I think he may have dropped. But it could have just been braxton hicks contractions. Who knows!! I've never done this before :) We took a 4 day baby preparation class. It was from 6:30-9 pm. I was still working full time at that point and I was so tired those nights that I didn't retain much information. I'm finding I have questions that I should know the answers to. I'm sure Matt remembers some stuff right?!?

I slept for a good bit when I got home yesterday and was still ready to go to bed at 10! I'm just a little more tired these days. I've slept most of today too. Got up at 7 then took a nap from 10-12. Wow! Thank goodness I'm only working part time these days!!

The swelling in my feet comes and goes. I took a water aerobics class on Monday and it felt wonderful. It was nice to be in cool water. It was a class for senior citizens but they let me in :) Plus I'm elevating them, icing them and using menthol foot cream that feels great!

The swelling in my hands is causing some tingling in my fingers. It's hard to grip anything. It is the worst in the morning and gradually gets better by the evening. Oh well - it will soon pass :)
