The Park on Christmas Day

Not a very white Christmas this year. But, it made the walk to the park easier.
It was clear and cool, light jacket weather.

Going down the slide with mom.

Marcus walked most of the way there and some of the way home. He had a good nap after all the fun.

Christmas Morning

I'm realizing I didn't take that many pictures of Christmas this year. We skyped with both Grandparents and I took video for about an hour.  So, this is a sampling of Marcus getting to open presents.

Recent Pics

We went to Zoo Lights last night. It was a little cold. The lights were so pretty. Marcus wasn't too excited about it. Next year will be more fun for him

Ornaments in the tonka truck

Auntie Amy sent this table and chair to Marcus for Christmas. It's wonderful.
He loves having a chair that's just his size.

Mural of pictures

Our dear friend and very talented photographer, Amanda, took these pictures in August of 2009 when Marcus was 6 weeks old. I finally printed them and got them up. The one in the middle is from our wedding day, but the rest are from our first family photo shoot. I'm hoping I can continue to add to the wall as we get more taken.

Marcus has his own section of the tree

Marcus is enjoying the ornaments from Grams and Aunt Susie
Now there is a part of the tree he's allowed to play with.

 These springy ones are fun

Gearing up for Christmas

We got the tree out and partially decorated.

I bribed him with a pretzel stick to stay still. Hopefully we can get some more pictures this season. We'll see.

Thanksgiving

We had a nice quiet day at home on Thanksgiving.  I made a prime rib roast with whipped potatoes and asparagus. We used the timer on the camera to get a picture of the three of us. It was a very casual day. We layed around most of the day and then I started making dinner at around 4. Very relaxing!

Helping Dad in the yard

We finally got rid of the rose bushes in the back yard. They were not that great and more of a pain than anything. I pruned all of them back to the ground and Matt dug them up. Now he's turning the dirt until we figure out what to do with it in the spring. Probably move some of our other plants into that area. Matt transplanted a small apple tree there last spring - lets hope it actually lives!

Here's a leaf!
Helping dad push the shovel in the ground.
I love our 4 foot fence. It's great to have a little bit of a view of the airport behind us. Marcus loves to see the airplanes in the sky - we can also see them take off and land. Pretty cool. It's a small airport so we don't really have a lot of noise from the small jets coming in and out.

Two binky bandit!

Steeler Sunday with Dad

Playing outside in the cold with Dad's hat on.

We can swing in 30 degree weather, right? I know it doesn't look like it, but he's having fun!

This sunny day was the same week!
