Sledding

About a week ago we got enough snow to play in. We had fun going down the front yard. When we first went outside he said 'Oh, a boat!'. But by the end of the day he was calling it a 'sleigh'. Oh well, it was great fun to get out and play in the snow.

Pittsburgh Children's Museum

We met Jeremy and Robin at the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. That place is huge!
They had a room to make crafts to take home.
Marcus made paper with the three colors on this table.

Putting the paper fibers and solution on a mesh frame.

Squeezing the water out (with a little help)

 Life size light bright.

A see saw that makes bubbles when you go up and down.
The water room. I'm sporting a black eye from my dear son.
He dove across the couch and cought me in the face.

Marcus is climbing up a net to get to a slide. When he got to the top he decided the slide was too steep. So we took the stairs back down. When we reached the bottom we read the sign that said he needs to be 4 feet tall to climb the net (He's 3 feet tall). Oops.

Painting! Yay!

Finished product of the paper he made. It took the rest of the day to dry.
Pretty cool!! He looks proud.

Pittsburgh Zoo

We went to the Pitsburgh Zoo at the end of December. We got in free because we belong to the Denver Zoo. It was pretty neat. Except that it was very cold. The weather forecast said 40 and sunny, which is not so bad. But it was really 35 and cloudy. That's a huge difference.
The sun came out and it was warming up as we were leaving at about 1:00. Pfft.

Matt and Marcus looking at the tiger.

Faaahhhreeezing!!

Indoors at the aquarium. There was a tunnel under the stingray tank.
Marcus had a ball in there.

The polar bear was frisky that day! He was fun to see.

Smiling with a mouth full of peanut butter sandwich.

More Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning

This Christmas was pretty fun. Marcus is 2 1/2 and has a better understanding about who Santa is. He was so excited to see all the presents under the tree. He had fun playing with all of them. The basketball net is by far his favorite.

Trip home to Dallas

Just before Christmas Marcus and I got to go to Dallas to see Grams.
We had a wonderful time during the week we were there.

This is the train show at North Park Mall that benefits
Ronald McDonald House Cherities.

Coloring with Aunt Susie!

Helping Uncle Todd and Cousin Hollis play guitar.

Celebrating Hollis' first birthday

Taking a tour of Todd's new restaurant in Austin. Lenoir. Can't wait to eat there!!

Grams with her two youngest grand children.

Decorating the tree for Christmas

Marcus really enjoyed decorating Sue's tree for Christmas. It has a bird theme. He's pretty proud of his tree. He often looks at it and says 'I made that', this evening he said 'I decorated that'. I think he'll be sad when it has to come down.

Recent pics in our new (temporary) home

We recently moved to Moundsville, WV, Matt's home town. He started a new job here a few months ago. Marcus and I came later after selling the house. We've moved into his parents house until we can find a place of our own.

Playing with action figures with Dad

Walking in the back yard

His first walking stick

He stuffed many soft things into his footie pjs. He was pretty proud of himself.
He called it his pocket. Guess I'll have to make sure that pocket doesn't get any strange things in it!!

Arts and crafts. His 'butterfly'

Feeding the deer

Marcus got to play with some Denver friends who came to WV for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Mick handed out bread for them to throw out the window to the waiting deer.
